Amy Tiemann, a blogger on CNET, writes about children and laptops. In one of her local infant schools children have formed a ‘mini-laptop club,’ where children rather than use real laptops draw out the keyboard of their laptop on a sheet of paper and pretend to use them. It’s interesting looking at the photograph of one of the drawings to see how things which are important to this child have become central areas on the ‘keyboard’. In this example, the child’s pet with keys named ‘kitten’, ‘dog’, ‘leash’ and ‘cat’. Read more here.
